can't stop listening to grizzly bear or somaFM's white noise all day at work. i think i enjoy feeling slightly debillatated and lathargic for a chunk of the day. it sustains my basement dwelling to a degree.
new-neighbor-buddy and i have been hanging more often lately (?), and i recently discovered that he is quite old! hah, as in.. not that old, but, at least 63% more tolerable in longer durations than old neighbor buddy was.
new neighbor buddy is considerate at least, and also likes to make me food on slight occasion (i hope to continue this pattern everywhere i go). did i mention no window-shaking-immortal-fucking either? that's a plus most days as well.
this weekend apparently i couldnt hack being inside, so i basically convinced myself that along with buddy, we'd do some serious biking. oh shit yes, marathon material that made it off the island (to the other wee islands, of course), and everywhere else. it was pretty damn ass sweet the distance we covered in a day. then i did it half ways over again the next day, and kayaked (alas) my bones to full unforgiveness.
otherwise, progress towards the volcanic island is slowly but surely progressing, and thus gradually releasing some pressure on me. today i actually booked the tickets. it also appears that im trying to land myself an au pair job, as i would live and travel for next to free if i did. problem being, chances are high im going to end up with illegal immigrant status and deported for life if such does in fact fall through, meaning i would be there longer than originally expected, as Visa obtaining past 3-4 months visit is not made extrodinarily accessable to outsiders.
